John has been associated with Belgrave Associates since its inception after a career of more than 20 years in advertising and communications and purchased the firm in 2022. He specializes in senior-level strategy for businesses, including comprehensive marketing plans, website development and analytics and social media marketing.
John brings to Belgrave extensive experience in the technology, manufacturing, legal, financial services, automotive, retail and non-profit sectors.
He was formerly president of Burke Communications, a top-20 Charlotte advertising agency, where he was responsible for daily operations and the management of both the account services and creative departments. His work there included project management of retail product packaging and website development as well as retail and business-to-business campaigns. Prior to that, he was an executive with Hodges Advertising, where he handled regional advertising for General Motors brands. While there, he won a national award for TV commercial production and oversaw as much as $8 million in annual client media.
A past member of the board of directors of the Autism Society of North Carolina, John holds a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University.
